2000 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
On May 19, 2000, the Cheshire High School Marching Ram Band was selected to represent the State of Connecticut in Macy’s 74th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade held on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2000 in New York City. The Band represented our music department, Cheshire High School, the town of Cheshire and the State of Connecticut in the largest parade on the East Coast. The Ram Band was one of 12 bands selected from throughout the country for this honor. The Band will be seen by approximately two million spectators along the parade route and by 65 million television viewers internationally!! This will be one of the most exciting experiences our students could have! All students in the CHS instrumental music program have been invited to join the Marching Ram Band in this very special event.
