New England Music Festival Association Solo & Ensemble Festival

John L. Kuhner, Wednesday, 10/14/2015

Dear Instrumental Music Students and Parents,

As you know, the Cheshire High School Music Department is committed to offering high quality honors ensembles enrichment opportunities for students enrolled in performing ensembles.  One such opportunity is the New England Music Festival.  The New England Music Festival Association provides student musicians with an outstanding adjudication experience, which leads potentially to an honors ensembles experience in the form of the NEMFA Concert Festival Band and Orchestra.  This adjudication experience as well as the honors ensembles experience is a great way for students to grow as independent musicians.  It also serves as an avenue for CHS music students to earn CCP credit (honors level credit) in their respective ensemble course(s).

The NEMFA Solo & Ensemble Festival will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at CHS. We will be requesting late morning adjudication times.  If a you would like to perform at another time please indicate this preference on the form.

You can find the repertoire list and requirements by going to http://nemfa.org/repertoire.php. Your registration will only be complete when you submit payment of $12 per adjudication time, checks made out to CHS Music Department.  Please deposit in Forms Box.  DEADLINE:  TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20.  If accepted, the Concert Festival will be held March 17-19 at Gilford High School, NH.

The link to the registration form is as follows: http://goo.gl/forms/DJsn6tC6ks .

Please contact Mr. Kuhner if you have any questions.

Thank you!
