Hello All:


We have three fundraisers, one is rapidly winding down, and two more are in a couple of weeks:




Through Friday, August 28, 2015


The “Macy’s Shop For a Cause” fundraiser will be coming to an end on Friday, August 28th.  There are still plenty of Savings Passes available.  A $5.00 donation will get you a “Savings Pass” for Saturday, August 29, 2015 in which Macy’s will give 30% off your purchase for the entire day.  This Exclusive Sale is for pass holders only. Passes can be used at any Macy’s store. 


ALL proceeds from these passes go to the BPA.  I will be available on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. at the end of practice for anyone wishing to purchase a pass.  You can also contact me at (203) 901-6122 or or if you wish to purchase a pass before then.  Passes are also available through any Color Guard member, but must be purchased before Saturday.  Please help to make this fundraiser successful!




Saturday, September 12, 2015, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm, CHS Cafeteria


We are running the tag sale in conjunction with the Cheshire Fall Festival and our Annual Mattress Fundraiser (which is being held in the CHS Commons).


There are several ways you can help:


1.  Please donate “sellable” items for the tag sale. The profits from the donated items will go towards CHSMRB. Items can be dropped off on Tuesday, September 8th and Thursday, September 10th during drop off for band practice.  We will be collecting the items in the back parking lot by the green trailer near the practice field. No clothing items, please. 


2.  Please volunteer your time to help out the day of the tag sale.  All help is greatly appreciated.


3.  Please donate baked good items, since we will have a bake sale during the tag sale.  Please remember that bake sale items must be individually wrapped and preferably nut-free.


4.  Please tell your friends and neighbors to visit us before attending the Fall Festival.  We will be opening earlier than the Fall Festival, so the “serious” taggers won’t have to deal with the Fall Festival traffic.


We are featuring tag sale tables for rent.  Tables are approximately 6 feet long.  If reserved by 8/31 tables are just $30 each, 9/1 and after tables are $40 each.  Tell your friends and neighbors that anyone can rent tables to sell their own items.  The renters make a profit from their personal sales; however, the RAM BAND makes a profit from table rentals and any donated items that sell.


This fundraiser relies solely on parent participation, since the students will be attending practice that day.  We realize that parents will be helping the students get to the Fall Festival for their 11:00 am performance, so please volunteer whenever you’re available.

Saturday, September 12, 2015, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm, CHS Commons


The Mattress Sale will be running concurrently with our Tag Sale.  We earn profit with no parent work involved with putting this one on, other than helping us advertise.  Your may have noticed the signs are posted throughout Cheshire, but word of mouth is our best way of getting the word out.  There are flyers in the band room but you may reproduce them as well from the attached PDF file.


Please encourage your friends and neighbors to take a break from the Cheshire Fall Festival on Saturday,  walk across the street from Bartlem Park, and check out the Mattress Sale and Tag Sale.
