3-Jan-19: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Christmas Tree Pickup

posted Jan 3, 2019, 11:46 AM by Mark Nowicki

Dear RAMBAND Students and Parents:

Happy New Year!

Reminder... our annual Christmas Tree Pickup fundraiser will be held Saturday, January 12th, 2019.

We’re doing very well with pre-orders – we already have over 425 trees scheduled to pick up, and based on history, we expect to have over 700 trees for pickup on collection day.  I’ll be happy if we break last year’s mark which was 712!  750 would be a nice target to hit!

  • For collection day, we still need some manpower to bring in the trees.  We have enough band parents to drive the four rental trucks, but we still need more student and parent volunteers as hauler crews for those trucks.  We will be dispatching trucks from the Cornerstone Church on Waterbury Road again this year beginning at 7:00am.  For parents, if you have a personal utility vehicle, we would be happy to have you take a route or two to pick up some trees.  Hopefully we will be finished by around 1:00pm, earlier if we get a few more volunteer personal utility vehicles.  Students who sign up will earn community service credit hours.  Volunteer by clicking here.

  • If you haven't done so already, place your own tree pickup order.  For ON-LINE ordering, click the TREE on www.ramband.com, or click here.  If you wish to use the hardcopy MAIL-IN form, get it by clicking here, fill it out and mail it in, but act quickly if you use MAIL-IN forms to account for mail delivery delays.  You can also call the Tree Line at (203) 718-6721, or email treepickup@ramband.com.  Donations may be made by credit or debit card using PayPal by clicking the “Donate” button on the homepage, or by mailing a personal check.

  • Lastly, help us spread the word!  Talk with your family, friends, neighbors and associates who live in Cheshire to advertise by word of mouth for our service fundraiser.  Direct them to www.ramband.com to place their order.

Cheers and Thanks!

Regards,

Mark Nowicki
