Dear all,

Short update regarding State Championships in New Britain CT. The show will take place at:

Veterans Memorial Stadium

635 South Main Street

New Britain CT 06051

Our performance time is between 8:50 and 10:00pm.  UCONN performs in exhibition at 10:28pm. Awards begin at 10:42pm. This will be a later night for us.  As we get closer, I will know the time of our performance and will send that out to you.

Tickets will be available starting Thursday night October 22nd during post-rehearsal pick up. We will also sell them Friday October 23, Tuesday October 27 and Friday October 30th during pick-up. Tickets are $15.00 each. We encourage you to purchase tickets from us as they will be $20.00 at the door. All persons attending the event with the band, including chaperones and quartermasters, will need a ticket to get in to the event. Truck Drivers and  Pit crew are exempt from purchasing tickets. Bob Gieseler has the list of truck and pit crew if you have a questions.

Depending on our step-off time, we will either eat dinner at the school before we leave or on the bus. I will communicate this as soon as possible so that you can prepare. For any questions, please contact me.

Next, I will be sending out an information request regarding the Nationals Event at MetLife shortly - to include interest in riding a spectator bus and tailgating with the band. We will discuss this event in depth at the General Membership Meeting on Thursday October 29th. Please plan to attend to ask any questions or address any concerns you may have. We will begin the meeting promptly at 7pm so that we have time to discuss and answer questions. We will also update on Music in Motion and the remaining events for the season, briefly.

Lastly, I would love to see a sea of red at this weekend's show in Southington. Our performance time is 9pm. Please do your best to come out, sit together in the stands and cheer for our band! It makes a world of difference to them and to the judges having you there. We appreciate it! Remember that we will need lunch and dinner this Saturday so get your forms in by the deadline tonight if you would like to order food for either or both of the meals.

Thank you! Go Ramband!
