Hi All!!!

 

Please take a look at the attached organizational chart for the BPA.  We are so fortunate to have parent volunteers to take on many of the largest roles in the organization, but now we need to fill in some of the smaller committees.  Right now the Forms and Rosters committee is a top priority.  This committee would meet before Band Camp starts to make a plan for form and check collection, and would need to be present at the school at the beginning of the first day of band camp to collect forms as they come in and answer questions.  The drop box will be checked regularly by the VP of Administration, and any further forms would be delivered to the committee.  The committee would need a system of tracking who had what forms/checks completed and who still had outstanding forms/checks.  I think a group of 4 people would be great for this committee.  Mark and Jessica Nowicki will be able to advise.  The bulk of work is done within the first few days of band camp.  Please let Jessica Nowicki, mnowicki@ix.netcom.com;  Tina Amodei, amodei@cox.net; or Sue DeLancy  susan.delancy@att.net; know if you are interested in helping out with the Forms and Rosters Committee.

 

Of course we will need crews of chaperones as well as pit crews.  Since the marching band has grown so dramatically, we have enough parents to potentially have multiple crews which can take turns, thus easing the burden on all.  If you are wanting to be involved in either of these areas, let us know and we will get you on the list! J.

 

Also attached is a description of the Fundraising and Communications Committees.  Please take a look and see if you would be a good fit on either of these committees.  The Communications committee includes a Web Master, so if you are good with that sort of thing, it would be a great positon for you!  Mark Nowicki created a very friendly website last year, so this position would be about maintaining and updating.  We hope the website will become the go-to spot for anyone needing information about the band.

 

The Finance Committee is looking for someone to join the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer as a Controller.  The Controller reconciles the checkbook each month and reports to the board. You money management types would be perfect for this!!

 

Many, many thanks to those of you who have already volunteered!! We have a terrific board and slate of executive officers.  We also have our props committee put together already!  We’re on Fiiire!  So, sign up where ever you fit best and join us for what is sure to be an amazing season!
