Dear all,

Congratulations to our Ram Band on an outstanding performance at Nationals!  All of the hard work this season paid off and we are so proud of each of you.  I already feel the emptiness of Saturdays without watching this band perform, but the good news is:  we have three more opportunities to hear the band play before we close out Duality for the season!

Here is my weekly update, starting with some special thanks:

Thank you to all of the parents for coming out to States and Nationals to support our kids! We had a great turnout and when you hear the video, you can hear our cheers!  I don’t think anyone made a bigger sound, except for the performing bands.  I never saw such proud and happy faces as our kids came off the field, full of pride and smiles! This is what it is all about.  A personal thanks from me – it has been a pleasure serving as your President thus far and I thank you for your support for our band!

We very much appreciate your patience and support as we came home early Sunday morning – thanks for hanging out to wait for and help unload the trucks.  Well done BPA!!! It was a long day for our chaperones and crew and we appreciate that extra support when we came back.

On behalf of the BPA and Marching Ram Band, I want to say a special thank you to Phil Unger for not only being our head chaperone for three years, but for doubling as the band head cheerleader!  Thank you Phil – we will miss you next year….but you better answer when I call for help at MiM!!!!

Thank you to Ann Marie Kemp and Dom DiSorbo for the Nationals’ video.  The video is posted on ramband.com home page as well as under the Nationals section.  Thank you for creating this memory for our band and parents.  Dom, we would also like to thank you for all of the pictures you have taken and posted this season!!  http://www.ramband.com/marching-ram-band/competitions/nov-7th-2015-national-open-class-championships-east-rutherford

If anyone is interested in heading up the nominating committee for the Board elections in the spring, please email me.  It is not a huge time commitment, but will require some coordination and leadership.  In addition, we are looking for 6 parents who do not have a graduating senior to serve on the scholarship committee with Mr. Kuhner and Mr. Ciasullo.  Please let me know if you are interested in participating.  This is also not a huge time commitment but will require 2-3 meetings to carry out the duties.

The BPA Board will be meeting this week to finalize details of several of the items listed and I will communicate more information soon! In addition, I will schedule a BPA Membership meeting shortly.  Stay tuned for more information on that meeting and agenda!

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!  Go Ramband!

Laura
