Happy Friday and another beautiful weather day. Looking forward to a Marching Band filled weekend! I wanted to send a few updates as we go into the weekend.
We have posted the sign-ups for all of the remaining football games and competitions for the season, including States and Thanksgiving Day game. We do not post for Nationals and will manage that separately. Please visit the Parent Volunteer Sign-Up area in order to sign up for chaperone, pit crew or props supports.
We have posted the sign-ups for Music In Motion on the site. Thank you to those who signed up and attended our first meeting! We are moving along nicely in the planning of the event. We will provide an update on progress at the meeting next week. PLEASE go to the site and sign-up for the area and shift(s) you have chosen to work. We have all of the jobs and shifts noted. Why do you have to sign-up you ask? First, because we need you and second, because having those who can work sign-up for area and time allows us to see where we have gaps in coverage. This will also allow use to have an idea of the flow of people and make sure we do not have overlap or more importantly a hole where we need help. Thank you!!
I have attached the updated spreadsheet for ads and sponsors for our MiM program, a sample letter, as well as the form to solicit support from local businesses. We have a great turnout from the students and have already received some ads. Thank you!! There are still opportunities to reach out to a business if you would like to participate. Just send me a note with the business and band member name so that I can be sure to track it. If you would like to place a personal ad from your business or for your band member, please use the form and send me the ad content. When returning ads and checks, please place in an envelope in the form drop box (or hand it to me) and label it "MiM Ad/Sponsor" and include the name of your band member. Ads can also be emailed to me directly (as per form).
Last, but not least, thank you for all of the support! I know that our band appreciates the Red Machine and the cheers, and I appreciate the enthusiasm and support from the BPA!
Go Ramband! See you soon,
