13-Oct-16: CHS Ramband Fundraising Update

posted Oct 13, 2016, 10:16 AM by Mark Nowicki

Greetings Parents and Students:

We’ve all just come through the most challenging and intense period of our fundraising efforts for the entire year.  The Sponsor Campaign ended with a bang, Music In Motion is still ringing in our ears, and we still have Pies to sell.  Yes… Pies to sell!  Here are some highlights:

SPONSOR / ADVERTISEMENT CAMPAIGN

We hit our $18,000 Goal and then some.  Our cash income topped off at $22,400, but when combined with all of the donations of goods and services for Music in Motion, and from Car Show sponsors, we have hit nearly $27,500 These are great numbers!  Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this a VERY successful campaign!

Incentives:  Perhaps we’ve all learned that this isn’t all about the incentives – but what we can accomplish when we work together for the good of the whole. We made alot of money for the instrumental music programs so we can have quality instructors and equipment.  This was a job well done!  The lead students for the individual awards are 1st:  Ryan Hendry, 2nd:  Alysha DeGennaro. The Section Award went to Low Brass.  We will contact the high earning parents individually to offer them their tickets to Nationals.

MUSIC IN MOTION

Early financial results are in for our fundraiser.  Despite the rainy weather, we’ve at least matched the Revenue from last year.  All the Expenses are not yet tallied, but we think due to some creative cost reducing measures, and many more “in-kind” donations than in recent years, we will do very well with our net profit for Music In Motion!

It was a great show!  Thank you to everyone who gave of their time and energies. We had over 110 volunteers this year!!

PIE SALE

The Pie Sale!  Yeah… the Pie Sale!  Believe it or not, our Lyman Orchard Holiday Pie Sale will be ending this Sunday, October 16th.  Thanksgiving is just over a month from now… the Pies we order this week will be distributed on November 17th, just in time for Bird-Day.  Reach deep into your energy reserves… visit your neighbors, co-workers, friends and relatives… sell some pies.  Get your order forms in to the Forms Box in the hallway outside of the band room!  If you need an order form, you can find one here.
